We collect as little as we can and we never sell it. This page explains exactly what data Caustics handles, why, and who processes it on our behalf. The data controller is Jovian Creative AS, a company registered in Norway.
If you subscribe, your email address is stored and processed by our email service provider solely to send you Caustics updates. We do not add you without your action, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time, which removes you from the list.
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal data — it measures aggregate page views and referrers so we can understand what people find useful. Because no personal data is collected and no cookies are set, there is no tracking banner to dismiss.
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our merchant of record. When you buy, Lemon Squeezy collects the information needed to complete the sale — your name, email, billing location, and payment details — and it handles invoicing and any applicable VAT or sales tax. Your payment card details are processed by Lemon Squeezy and its payment partners; they are never stored on our servers. We receive only the order information needed to deliver your product and provide support, such as your name, email, and what you purchased. Lemon Squeezy's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
We process newsletter data on the basis of your consent, and order data on the basis of performing our contract with you and meeting our legal accounting obligations. We keep newsletter data until you unsubscribe, and order records for as long as required by Norwegian and EU tax and accounting law.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@caustics.dev and we will action your request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
